Coleman is Lancashire-born. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also received straight As on her A-levels. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman stated that she regrets not having had a typical college experience. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was a part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. A prize was given to her for her presentation, while the show itself received a favorable reception. Coleman was trying to get into drama schools in 2005, landed Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman was awarded two awards in 2007. In the British Soap Awards she was awarded Best Newcomer. Also, at the National Television Awards she was nominated as Most Popular Newcomer. In 2009, she received nominated in the two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who revealed in a news meeting held on the 21st March 2012 that Coleman will replace Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose to put her in the role because she has the most chemistry Smith. Also, she spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her career has been in the industry of entertainment since 1987. However she has had a greater presence on television than in films. Eva is well-known for her roles on the show the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The latter gave Eva two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to express her creative side by performing music. In addition to being an actor, Eva is a philanthropist and an entrepreneurial. Eva has had three marriages and has a daughter from her first husband.
