Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. Her albums span over 20 years. DiFranco classifies her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative, but it also has influences from hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani Difranco has been deemed to be a feminist hero as well as a Grammy award winner. Being one of the early female musicians in the 90s, she founded her own label. DiFranco has two daughters: Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They began their relationship at their school, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
